Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Accounting & Operations Intern who is ready to take on responsibilities that extend beyond accounting. In this role, you will:
- Prepare financial statements and perform journal entries
- Work with accounting tools such as QBO and Zoho
- Support day-to-day operations and sales processes
- Assist with the management of live Upwork client projects alongside our international teams
- Develop leadership and project management skills with a view to transitioning into a full-time Project Manager role after the initial 30 days
- Training and Growth Path
- Four weeks of unpaid training with basic necessities provided
- Exposure to multiple departments including finance, operations, and sales
- Performance review at 30 days based on pre-discussed metrics
- Full-time onboarding upon meeting performance criteria, with a competitive salary and performance-based incentives
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements and recording journal entries
- Experience with accounting software such as QBO and Zoho
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an office setting
